Green screen filming is a great way to achieve a professional-looking video, whilst saving time and money in the process.
Ordinarily, lots of time can be taken up on a filming day trying to find suitable positions around a location, where the background is appropriate, interesting, presentable, tidy, free from people walking past, free from noise, and with enough space to set up the camera and lights, etc, etc. With the green screen filming set up we can film anywhere, so we choose the best location from a sound and size perspective, and we only need to set up once, as the background will obviously be changed in the edit, afterwards. This is especially time and money-saving when lots of interviews with multiple people are required, as we set up the green screen and then give everybody involved an allocated time, and they all come to us.
Flexibility in the edit is limitless, and there are an increasing number of options available for backgrounds, so finding the right one to fit the project is usually quick and easy.
I own a 2m x 1m pop-up green screen, which is ideal for single-person, head & shoulders seated interviews, in locations with limited space, and I also have a huge 6m x 3m green screen background, which can be used for full-body standing shoots, and it also gives multiple person options.
